About Us

Molecular Medicine Postgraduate Students, or MOMPES, is a student-led organization from the Department of Molecular Medicine, Universiti Malaya. The department hosts nine research groups of:

3. Medicinal Mushroom Research group

4. Molecular Virology Research group

5. Biosciences and Material Sciences

6. Protein and Interactomics Research group

7. Stem Cell Biology Research group

8. Venom Toxicity Research group

9. Proteomics Research group

Our goal is to nurture more student leaders in bringing the scientists together to share recent trends in the field of Molecular Medicine. We aim to create a platform for budding and established scientists in expanding their knowledge and synergize a growing network for future collaborations.

Since the late 2000s, MOMPES promotes balance between work and leisure within the department - engaging students in academic related and research seminar, as well as recreational activities.

Events by MOMPES will bring together like-minded individuals to share and connect with each other. Speakers and research group representatives will be covering a range of topics, which means there’s really something for everyone to discover.
